This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Plain language, no surprises.

1. Who we are

NUO AI ("NUO AI", "we", "us", or "our") builds a cart upsell and cross-sell app for Shopify merchants. Our business address is Manhattan, New York, NY, United States.

Our web fonts are loaded from Fontshare's content delivery network. Loading a font necessarily reveals your IP address and browser details to that provider so the file can be delivered; no cookies are set for this purpose.

7. Who we share information with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate this website, and only for the purposes described above. Each is bound by contract to protect the information and to use it only on our instructions.

We may also disclose information where we reasonably believe it is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal process; to enforce our terms; or to protect the rights, safety, or property of NUO AI, our users, or the public. If NUO AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will notify you before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.

8. International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards — typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses together with supplementary measures where needed. You can request a copy of the relevant safeguards using the contact details below.

9. How long we keep information

10. How we protect information

This website is served over HTTPS, and access to any information we hold is limited to people who need it to do their job. We use reputable providers with their own security programmes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we work to keep the amount of information we hold small, which is the most effective protection of all.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

California residents. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, you have rights to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Residents of Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comparable laws have similar rights, including the right to appeal a decision we make about a request.

To exercise any of these rights, email us using the details in section 15. We will verify your request — usually by confirming control of the email address involved — and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30 days, or 45 days in California). You may use an authorised agent where the law permits.

If you are in the EEA or UK and believe we have not handled your information properly, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first.

12. Children's privacy

This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. The NUO AI Shopify app

Installing the NUO AI app from the Shopify App Store is separate from visiting this website. When a merchant installs the app, NUO AI processes store data — such as product catalogue, cart and order information, and campaign performance data — in order to display offers and produce analytics. In that context NUO AI acts as a processor on behalf of the merchant, who is the controller of their shoppers' data.

The app's data access, retention, and deletion practices are described in its Shopify App Store listing and in the agreement entered into at install time, and they follow Shopify's protected customer data requirements. Merchants can revoke all access by uninstalling the app; associated data is deleted in line with Shopify's mandatory data-deletion webhooks. If you are a shopper who saw a NUO AI offer in a store, please direct requests to that merchant.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. If we make a material change, we will make it prominent on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.

15. Contact us

Questions, requests, or complaints about privacy — write to us and a person will read it.
